Creative George Town offers Tasmanian artists an invaluable platform to exhibit their work in a supportive and vibrant community.

Exhibiting here enables artists to reach wider audiences, fostering connections that enhance both their creative development and professional networks.

This exposure also helps elevate their profile, opening doors to further opportunities and collaborations.

Creative George Town Exhibition Call Out

Calling all Tasmanian artists! Applications are now open for the Creative George Town Exhibition Program 2025.

Creative George Town Exhibitions January to June 2025

We’re inviting artists to submit their works for consideration in a series of exhibitions running from January to June 2025, hosted in George Town’s community galleries.

With a focus on nurturing emerging talent and showcasing established artists, this program offers a unique platform to engage with the local community and visitors alike.

How to Apply

Complete the form online, via the George Town Council website:

  • Describe your intended exhibition in detail.
  • Provide a one-page CV.
  • Submit up to 10 images of your recent artwork in jpeg format.

Loan Fees

The George Town Council supports fairness in the arts and will pay loan fees to all artists exhibiting in this program.

These fees are in line with NAVA (National Association for the Visual Arts) standards for small organisations (gallery spaces).
