You’re Invited to attend the Poatina Tree Gallery Impressions Exhibition
Artists Justine Vaughan, Gaynor Peaty, Rosa MacManemy, Jacqueline Senior, Julie Irvin and Elizabeth Royce are the Newfields Printmakers and invite you to their “Impressions” exhibition.
Based in Tasmania they all specialise in printmaking and together present a full range of techniques and original works in their upcoming exhibition at the Poatina Tree Gallery.
			
			
The Exhibition Details
Newfields Printmakers are a group of six artists who work in different print methods, using techniques such as linocut, collagraph and drypoint etching to create their imagery.
Their unique approaches make for an eclectic mix of artworks; however they are united in their passion for the Tasmanian landscape, which becomes a common thread through this new body of work presented at Poatina Tree Gallery.

			Thought Provoking Exhibition
This exhibition is for all art lovers, those who treasure the Tasmanian landscape and have an interest in printmaking.
This exhibition will take you on a walk through Tasmania seen through the eyes of the artists reflecting their interests, the wonder that is inspired by the landscape and marvel at the translation from seeing something to creating an impression in print.
People of all ages will enjoy this exhibition and find something that sparks their imagination and inspires them to walk in the landscape with fresh eyes.
Celebrating the Artists
The exhibition features the work of artists Julie Irvin, Rosa MacManemy, Gaynor Peaty, Elizabeth Royce, Jacqueline Senior and Justine Vaughan.
They each draw on nature whether it be patterns found in flora or depicting the many hues and colours of the landscape, this group of printmakers are joined by a mutual love of the landscape and the processes of printmaking.
														Stephen Bond’s Journey as a Sculptor
Meet Stephen Bond and explore his love for sculpture through out a varied creative life, from musician to sculptor to painter along a curvaceous journey.
			Be Inspired by Diversity
Come and visit this exhibition and see the diversity of printmaking as a medium, whether it the graphic and patterned depictions from a linecut, or the soft moody colour fields of a collagraph, to the fine line work of a dry-point etching, you will enjoy each artist’s distinct approach to the art of printmaking.
			
			About Poatina Arts
Poatina Arts is a vibrant arts collective located in the picturesque village of Poatina, Tasmania, on the edge of the Great Western Tiers world conservation area. Our vision is to be a thriving hive of inspired creativity, where people come alive.
The Poatina Arts collective incorporates the recently completed Alethea Mountain Retreat Arts Centre and Poatina Glass Studio, an integral part of the inspiring framework which is home for a small colony of resident and visiting artists, studios, workshops, and other events that attract 100’s of artists and visitors from around the globe each year.
Our regular events include a multi-discipline Faith and the Arts Summer School held each January, which has been running since 2002. There are also regular exhibition openings held in the The Poatina Tree Art Gallery throughout the year. - Poatina Glass Studio, Tasmania’s premier hot glass teaching facility, offering workshops in glass blowing and other hot glass techniques and studio access for glass artists,

 - The Poatina Tree Gallery and adjoining Tiers Tea Lounge, featuring works by artists living in or connected to Poatina, a popular place for artistic contemplation and social connection,
 - Hot Glass Trailer, a specialised mobile facility which offers glassblowing demonstrations at the Tasmanian Craft Fair each year in Deloraine,
