Explore Creativity at the Poatina Tree Gallery “Into the Landscape” Exhibition
Poatina Tree Art Gallery presents ‘Into the Land’, an exhibition by Tania Vrancic.
The abstract paintings are inspired by Poatina and the foothills of the Great Western Tiers Mountains landscape.
All About the Exhibition
Tania Vrancic is an artist whose abstract landscapes are drawn from the experience of immersing herself in nature.
This immersion is both deep and thoughtful, giving herself quality time in which to observe the world around her, from the minutiae of ground lichens to the vastness of the skies.
Tania is a committed landscape artist who does not dwell on specific scenes, instead she aims to capture the feeling of walking through nature where your eye is struck by a vivid green of a tree’s foliage, or to the subtle whites and greys with tinges of pink in a cloudy sky.
Her process is to build a work through layers of painting, drawing, and collage.
Tania is a contemporary artist who is presenting a series of acrylic and mixed media works on paper.
The works have an energy and flow, with subtle tones and hues, conveying depth and light.

The work is a sophisticated collection portraying the artist’s skill and confidence through her loose gestural strokes contrasted with more precision marks that are dynamic and engaging.
Abstract and Mixed Media Artist
Tania Vrancic is a contemporary ceramic artist, abstract painter and mixed media artist who works from her home studio in Noosa, QLD, Australia.
Tania says: “Creating art is often a journey of self-discovery.
“I tend to make intuitively with the subtle meaning behind my work unfolding over time.
“Most of my work is abstract landscape depicting the feeling of a place and what it is like to be there and journey through the landscape rather than a literal place.”
