Spring into the Huon Valley Studio Art Trail

Spring is officially here, and with it comes one of our absolute favourite weekend escapes!

In its sixth year, the Huon Valley Studio Art Trail is returning this October 23-25 with it’s biggest lineup yet.

More than 60 artists and makers are throwing open their studio doors, offering a rare opportunity to step behind the scenes and experience creativity right where it happens.

The trail is a spectacular ribbon of Southern Tasmanian scenery winding from the quiet beauty of Dover up to the rolling hills of Lucaston and Grove, before looping back down through the creative heartbeat of Cygnet.

It is the perfect excuse to plot a classic Tasmanian long weekend and admire the vineyards bursting into spring blossom.

You can easily pair your studio stops with a walk among the treetops at the Tahune Airwalk, explore Hastings Caves, or indulge at the one of the many favourite local eateries.

Each month in our free Community newsletter we share their stories directly with you, along side inspiring Creativity Calendar posts and the empowering Skills Sharing Series so you can develop the skills needed to craft the life enriching creative business of your dreams. Enjoy!

Thriving Creative Community

The three-day event is the ultimate backstage pass to the Huon’s thriving creative community.

You can watch paintings and drawings come to life, see raw materials transformed into useful and beautiful objects, and experience the immense skill and passion involved in turning raw ideas into reality.

It is a unique opportunity to meet the artisans at work, ask questions, explore their unique tools and techniques, and take home something beautiful made by hand.

If you are looking to pack as much inspiration into your day as possible, the trail is also introducing several Artist Hubs this year—cleverly grouping multiple creatives in single locations to make planning your journey throughout the trail a breeze.

Meet the Artists and Makers of the Huon Valley and Far South

The Valley is buzzing with anticipation as the event this 23-25 October will include double the number of artists showcasing their work inviting you to explore and discover over 60 artists throughout the valley.
